In addition to acupuncture, your practitioner may use one or more of the following:

Cupping

Small glass cups are placed in areas associated with pain. A small vacuum is formed, which pulls the air out of the cup creating suction. This in turn draws stagnated blood and toxins to the skin's surface thereby forcing rich oxygenated blood into the tissues. The vast majority of patients enjoy the sensation created by the vacuum and compare it to massage.

Chinese Herbs

Herbal combinations of leaves, flowers, twigs, stems, roots, rhizomes and barks are used as formulas to successfully treat many conditions. These formulas are used to treat not only the symptoms of disease patterns but also the root cause. The formulas are prescribed in the forms of tictures, capsules, and also teas. These herbal prescriptions are all natural and produce no adverse effects. The formulas are safe for women, men, and children. Be certain to let your practitioner know of any Western medications or herbs you may currently be taking in order to insure safe interactions.
